Vintage Kralik Metal Caged Blown Glass Vase Rare Bohemian Czech Orange Vase
This is a rare blow-in Kralik caged glass vase in a soft orange/beige color with brown spot almost like animal print type. The Czechoslovakia mark is etched on the bottom. The vase is encased in a metal cage, and the cage shows signs of oxidation which is expected on an item of this era. The shape was produced by blowing the glass through a metal cage that has been soldered together, allowing the bulges to protrude through the metal. This is a very difficult technique to master and very few examples have ever been seen. There are no chips, cracks or repairs. Dimensions: 7" high and 7" wide. This comes from a smoke free and pet free home.
